ESPR Appointed to Lead PR for Peer Power Youth’s 10th Anniversary and Empathy-Led Model Launch

ESPR has been appointed by Peer Power Youth to deliver PR and media relations support for the charity’s 10th anniversary celebrations and the launch of its new Empathy-Led Model (ELM) at the House of Lords.

The appointment will see ESPR working with Peer Power Youth, a leading UK youth charity, to raise awareness of its work supporting young people and its contribution to shaping youth justice, mental health and care systems across the UK.

Founded in 2015 by Anne-Marie Douglas, Peer Power Youth works alongside young people aged 10–25 who have experienced trauma, including abuse, neglect, exclusion and violence. The organisation’s approach centres on empathy, trusted relationships and lived experience.

Over the past decade, Peer Power Youth has engaged more than 1,200 young people and 8,000 professionals, helping to inform policy and practice across youth justice, health, SEND and social care services. Among participants aged 18–25, 93% have progressed into education, employment or training within six months of completing the programme.

A key milestone in the charity’s next phase is the launch of its Empathy-Led Model, a training and coaching programme designed to help organisations embed empathy-led practice, ethical lived experience leadership and meaningful youth participation into their culture and decision-making.

The model will be formally introduced at an event hosted at the House of Lords, bringing together policymakers, sector leaders and young people with lived experience to discuss the future of youth support and system reform.

As part of the appointment, ESPR will provide PR and media relations support to help increase the visibility of Peer Power Youth’s anniversary activities and the launch of the Empathy-Led Model among policymakers, sector stakeholders and the wider public.

ESPR has worked with a range of organisations and leaders across the public, charitable and private sectors, including Tudor Trust, Runnymede Trust, the NHS, the Church of England, the Black Equity Organisation and Powerful Media.

The agency also supports the visibility of Black leaders and changemakers, including Dean Forbes, Eric Collins and Kevin Okyere, CEO of Springfield Group.

At ESPR, we continue to lead with strategic PR rooted in cultural awareness, insight and lived experience.
